FAITH FAMILY MINISTRIES

The Compassion Center

Mark 8:5 “How many Loaves do you have?” Jesus asked

Community Share will be opened every 2nd Tuesday and Wednesday of the month from 9AM to 12PM. Our building will be open to the public for normal distribution set up!

The Compassion Center is the largest food distribution center in Tioga County. It is located approximately 2 miles west of Westfield, Pa. The Compassion Center serves the local community by providing over 6,000 food items free of charge (that is approximately 7,288 lbs. of food!) to over 500 individuals every month. There are an average of 14 volunteers who faithfully serve as we endeavor to serve the community and surrounding areas.

The Compassion Center currently offers our food distribution program on a monthly basis: Community Share. Community Share is a program that is designed for families of all ages who may be suffering from limited income or no income at all. There are over 275 families served through this program on a monthly basis.  Onsite registration is available for this program.

The Compassion Center is an independent ministry that operates without a regular source of income and is run 100% by its volunteers. There are always many needs to be met when operating a facility such as ours, like paying the utilities, maintenance to the 1400 square foot building inside and out, and upkeep to the driveway, parking lot and lawn.

If you would like to partner with The Compassion Center as it endeavors to bless others, you can help make a difference with your contribution. Every bit helps and your contribution is a tax deduction too! Please feel free to stop by and visit during our hours of operation!
